HUMAN FACTOR TRAINING BEGINS IN AIRPORTS DIVISION (IBERIA HANDLING)
Investigation in aviation mishaps shows the three of every four accidents are caused by human error, which shows that the safety of an airline is up to everyone, since at any time we may a contributing factor in avoiding an accident or incident.
For this reason the Airports Division (Iberia Handling), within the Comprehensive Safety Management System, has devised the Human Factors Training Plan with the aim of promoting skills, knowledge and attitudes for developing competencies and using available resources on behalf of safety.
On February 3, psychologists specialising in Human Factors in the Operations Division began to train internal facilitators in several domestic airports, where they will be in charge of conducting training programmes for runway employees of the Airports Division (Iberia Handling).
In this way we continue to develop the corporate culture promoted by the Comprehensive Safety Management System among all personnel involved in operations, including flight crews, maintenance personnel, dispatchers, and handling employees.
