Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian politician and thinker (1869-1948), said:
“Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment. Full effort is full victory.”
At Iberia Handling we believe that full effort always delivers an improvement in results. Our airline clients agree, and have reported their satisfaction to Iberia’s Airports Division, citing our full efforts in the various stages and the high quality of our service –our victory.
Since the beginning of the 2008-2009 fall-winter season, we have received several congratulations and expressions of gratitude for our services.
Jet Air, for instance, thanked the Madrid-Barajas airport for the treatment given to a special flight carrying footballers: the Argentine national side.
In the first fortnight of January the Vueling carrier began receiving Iberia Handling services at the Seville airport. Within three days the company’s Seville station chief sent its congratulations to the Airports Division, citing services that he described as “excellent”.
On Friday, January 9 the Madrid-Barajas airport had to be shut down temporarily due to bad weather, forcing the re-routing of Madrid-bound flights to other Spanish airports. An Aeroméxico flight due to land at 12:30 a.m. was diverted to Santiago de Compostela in north-western Spain. On January 15 the Airports Division received a message from the airline’s operations department, thanking the entire handling team for lending “all its support and attention”, adding that “It’s nice to know that we can rely on people with such a helpful and obliging attitude”.
Other carriers had to delay or cancel their operations on that day, such as Lan Airlines. When things were back to normal, the Chilean carrier sent a message to Iberia Handling in Madrid expressing thanks for the help received at Madrid- Barajas: “From the ramp managers to the lowliest platform employee, everyone was very cordial and as helpful as possible. Thanks again, for your people have behaved like genuine professionals in dealing with every flight we have operated in the past few days.” More than a week after that chaotic Friday, thank-you notes for the services rendered on that weekend continue to arrive. The latest were from Iberworld and Royal Air Jordanian.
The messages all attest to the hard work and dedication of the entire Iberia Airports Division staff, and especially those on the front lines of the operation, who are undaunted by the bad weather or other difficulties.
